And I was like, “That looks like an interesting artifact.” And by the time they had done their adult kid-lead scenes, I had already read three chapters and was brain-blasted. I was in a play and these older teens who were like seniors in high school were reading it, and they left it in the dressing room. I picked it up on accident in middle school. I think if I’m really naming the one that is most originally deep-seated in my brain, it would be the book House of Leaves. I’m trying to think of what my favorite would be in this case.
